This page is supposed to explain what the PTN cards are good for.
The PTN card is an ID card, it identifies a user account in the PTN system.
With an ID it is easy for a party to look up the user account and see if the party owes the user something, like entrance to the party (a traditional ticket), a TP cable or something else.
If you have a PTN card and you are the user of a ticket, then the PTN card is as good as the ticket, in fact it is better, as there is only one piece of plastic to keep track of, not several pieces of paper.
The PTN card is much more reliable than a paper ticket, so there are less problems when the ticket must be checked at the door, this means that you get in faster and everyone else also get in faster.
Reusing the same PTN account and thereby also the same PTN card for many different parties also brings an advantage in that the customer does not need to re-register for every new party.
It is important to keep your PTN card safe, as we take it as your ID and grant all your rights (tickets) to the person with your card, so if you have lost your card, it is a good idea to mark the card as lost, you can do that from your cards page
Another advantage of using the PTN card is that you never have to bother with printing paper tickets, so with any luck the card will end up saving you money as well as trouble.
The biggest advantage of the PTN card is that it is safer than paper tickets, the only time the card number ever sees light is when you present it at the door, and the main database is consulted to look up your ticket, so there is very little risk that someone steals it and if it is snatched then you can mark it as lost from any computer with an internet connection.
